SURGICAL TREATMENT
Surgery may be required if non-surgical methods of treatment have been tried and have failed to control the pain or instability of the spine. Other conditions requiring surgical intervention may include, trauma, deformity (advanced scoliosis/kyphosis), infection, spinal tumour and a loss of motor function as a result of spinal cord compression.
Our specialists will carefully explain the reasons to why surgery may be required along with a thorough explanation of the risks involved so that all patients are able to make a timely and well informed decision before surgery is performed.
